What is the difference between plastic moulds and plastic injection moulds

- Jun 13, 2018-

Plastic molds and injection moulds are all moulds. There are similarities and differences between them.

Plastic mold is a short form of plastic mold used for compression molding, extrusion, injection, blow molding and low foaming molding. A concave die composed of a concave die assembly base plate, a concave die component and a concave die composite board is composed of a variable core composed of a punch combination base plate, a punch module, a punch combination board, a cavity truncation component and a side intercepting plate. The coordinated change of die, die and auxiliary forming system. It can process various plastic parts with different shapes and sizes.

Injection mold is a type of plastic mold, plastic mold includes: injection mold, extrusion mold, plastic mold. Like injection mold production, the injection of plastic material method, mold and then form products. Injection mold can also be understood as a mold in the middle is empty and then the body has a fixed small hole, through the hole to the inside of plastic injection of plastic material, through high temperature heating, molding, open mold, to get the product.

There are five major systems for plastic mold: gating system, temperature regulating system, molding parts system, exhaust system, guiding system and ejection system. The pouring system and molding parts are the direct contact with the plastic and change with the plastic and the products. It is the most complex and most changing part of the mould, which requires the highest finish and precision.
